Shawna Willey, M.D. – Chief of Breast Surgery, Georgetown
University Medical Center.
Dr. Willey has been an investigator on
several clinical trials, including a study of the expanded use of ductal
lavage for patients with previous breast cancer treated with
breast-conserving surgery and radiation. She is interested in international
health and education, and has conducted programs throughout the world,
including Europe and the Middle East. Dr. Willey is an active member of the
American Society for Breast Surgeons. She is also an Assistant Professor in
the Division of General Surgery and a member of the Breast Cancer Program at
the Lombardi Cancer Center.
Theodore Tsangaris Jr., M.D., F.A.C.S. – Chief of Breast Surgery,
Johns Hopkins University Hospital.
Dr. Tsangaris is a member
of the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project and American
College of Surgeons Oncology Group. Currently, Dr. Tsangaris serves as
Associate Professor of Surgery, Chief of Breast Surgery, Division of
Surgical Oncology and Director of the Johns Hopkins Comprehensive Breast
Center, Sidney KimmelComprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins,
Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Tsangaris has authored or co-authored numerous
articles and abstracts in journals such as Pathology Case Reviews, Surgical
Oncology, Radiology, and Breast Disease. His research interests include
prevention of breast cancer, tumor markers, sentinel lymph node as well as
other surgical procedures in the treatment of breast cancer.
Dr. Gregory Combs - graduated from Colorado State University in 1982. He graduated from Vanderbilt School of Medicine in 1986. Dr. Combs came to Portland to begin a residency in General Surgery and completed his residency training in Plastic Surgery in 1992 along with a fellowship in hand and micro-vascular surgery in 1993. Dr. Combs joined Karl O. Wustrack, M.D. in West Linn, OR in 1993
Dr. Kerri Winters-Stone - She holds Associate Professor appointments at both Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) and Oregon State University. Dr. Winters-Stone regularly presents her research at national and regional scientific meetings and is the author of “Action Plan for Osteoporosis”. Her most recent research focuses on the effects of cancer treatment on fracture risk and the ability of exercise to improve health in cancer survivors.
Glenn B. Gero, N.D., R.N.C, M.H. - Board-Certified doctor of naturopathy, master herbalist, registered nutritionist, cancer exercise specialist, certified fitness trainer, and lifestyle coach.
Andrea Leonard, B.A., C.S.C.S., C.E.S. - Andrea is a 25 year cancer survivor and is certified as a personal trainer by The American College of Sports Medicine, The National Academy of Sports Medicine, The American Council on Exercise, and as a Special Populations Expert by The Cooper Institute. Andrea is a published author, national speaker on the subject of cancer and exercise, and adjunct faculty for The National Academy of Sports Medicine and The American Council on Exercise.
Roxanne O'Byrne, R.N., B.S.N., M.S. - Roxanne has a Bachelor's and Master's degree in exercise physiology as well as a Bachelor's degree in nursing. She is a cyberknife specialist and nurse coordinator for Cyberknife Stereotactic Radiosurgery at Capital Health System in Trenton, NJ. Roxanne is also a Cancer Exercise Specialist.
Dr. Joseph Camp -has been in the health and fitness industry for over 25 years. After managing fitness centers in his early career, he went on to complete certifications as medical technician and fitness trainer and obtained a degree of chiropractic from Palmer College-West in 1995. He is cofounder and Club Director of Lift Fitness in Mountain View, California"
Kevin Horner PT, CLT graduated from the University of North Dakota in May of 1989 with a BS degree in Physical Therapy and a minor in Psychology. He has been a Pt at Sanford Health since 1989 and has developed Sanford's lymphedema program after becoming the first therapist in the state of South Dakota to become certified in Lymphatic Care in May of 1997. Since the initiation of the program, Kevin has assessed and successfully treated numerous patients with lymphedema. He has participated in professional and public presentations for medical staff, patients and family alike. He regularly presents at the cancer support groups, and programs such as "A Time to Heal", and "Couples Talk" in regards to lymphedema prevention and care. He currently is involved with Sanford's Cancer Center in developing a pre-cancer treatment screening and post cancer treatment exercise program.
